Hey i am a single mother who gets the single parent pension from centrelink!. My x partner pays child support of $40 a week, my son has some severe allergies so i have to take him for allergy testing which will cost $395 which i definitely can not afford on my own.. i have asked my x if he will pay half as i see this as being very fair and he is refusing, is there anything i can do to make him pay, i dont no what to do as this is a very important thing that i can not afford on my own.

Hi zhaydensmummy28

I had a similar situation with my ex and my youngest child. I was able to get a reassessment done through the child support agency because of our sons medical condition. I had to supply all documentation, specialists fees, rebates etc. Give them a call and see if they are able to help you.
