Trauma from divorce & moving

Postby Shwade » Sun Mar 15, 2015 9:05 am

I'm brand new to this forum. Im 36 years old (today;) and I have a daughter that will be turning 3 in April. Over the last year I have gone through an extremely hard divorce and been placed in situations by my ex that has put myself and my daughter in harms way. He was leading a double life to say the least and has committed some unforgivable things in the last 11 months. No matter what though, I've been trying to keep a happy face for my daughter and shield her from as much of this mess as possible. I've allowed supervised visits with her father so he remains in her life but I'm struggling to do this as its so hard on me to be around him and I have zero trust in him.
We had to move house for our safety recently so to say my daughter has been through a lot of big changes is an understatement.
Can anyone offer me some advice with potty training? I had her 100% potty trained 5 months ago but as things got worse, she just went backwards to the point that we are trying to start fresh. I think she now associates potty training with a hard time in her life so she shows no interest in learning it all again. Should I just back off and give her time to adjust to our new life and then try again or keep persisting now?
Any advice on anything would be greatly appreciated. Thank you:) Shwade

It's been a while, how are you going? Regression is totally normal especially based on your daughter's age and circumstances.
